Strap on your bazooka soldier, and get ready for the awesome action-packed side-view shooter Rocket Riot™. In this highly stylized eight-bit era style game, blast your way through the environment against enemies or multiplayer foes online. Navigate through a completely destructible environment, uncover special power-ups, or even burrow into different areas of the map. The map regenerates, keeping the action fast-paced, but time doesn't heal all wounds.
  • Missions: Engage in 80 single-player missions of progressively increasing difficulty.
  • Multiplayer: Rocket through four multiplayer modes against up to eight players on Xbox Live or up to four players on a single screen.
  • Customization: Customize your soldier by selecting his color, armor, and more.
  • Environments: Fly through continuously regenerating maps that keep the action fast-paced -- but time won't heal all environmental wounds.
  • Power-ups: Discover tons of power-ups to give your character destructive powers or humorous disadvantages, from guided rockets and massive block destruction to rocket magnetism, and dizzy missiles.
Rocket Riot releases for the Xbox LIVE Arcade on Wednesday, June 17, 2009 for 800 MS Points.

Re: Arcade Wednesday: Magic the Gathering, Rocket Riot and Sam & Max - 06-16-2009, 09:42 AM

Sam & Max Save the World, which was known as Sam & Max Season One for previous releases, has been enhanced for Xbox LIVE Arcade with achievements, widescreen and HD graphic support, and updates to the gameplay controls. The game is in English with subtitles in English, German, French, Italian, and Spanish. The Xbox LIVE Arcade download will sell for 1600 Microsoft points—less than 300 points per episode (six episodes in total). And for those keeping score, that's the same price as the PC version and $10 cheaper than the Wii version.

"Sam & Max Save the World is a sitcom-style game with an overarching story that develops across its six episodes. The series kicks off close to home with a trio of former child stars who propagate self-help video tapes with hypnotic qualities throughout Sam and Max's neighborhood. Each subsequent episode takes the Freelance Police deeper into this mind control plot, from a casino run by unusually cuddly Mafioso to the White House and finally to a disturbingly blissful lunar retreat, where Sam and Max must face down the mastermind behind it all. The Save the World episodes have won a variety of awards, including a "Funniest Game" nod from GameSpot, plus "Editor's Choice" and "Adventure Game of the Year" accolades from publications including IGN, PC Gamer, and GameSpy."

Sam & Max Save the World releases for the Xbox LIVE Arcade on Wednesday, June 17, 2009 for 1600 MS Points.
