Lode Runner 33% OFF from Sept. 14 - Sept. 20 - 09-12-2009, 08:34 PM

Lode Runner will be the XBLA Deal of the Week, just 800 Microsoft Points for Xbox LIVE Gold Members beginning Monday, September 14th through to Sunday, September 20th.

As recent as just this past weekend at the Penny Arcade Expo at booth #3002 in the North Hall of the Washington State Convention Center, XboLiveArcade.com had a chance to talk with Scott Pelland, the long-time managing editor of Nintendo Power magazine, that now shares his insights and creative talents as an independent consultant. He even teamed up with Tozai Games to help with the launch and marketing of Lode Runner for the Xbox LIVE Arcade.

As many of you probably know, Lode Runner's launch in late April of this year was negatively impacted by a mistake that Microsoft made in first posting the game on the dashboard at 800 Microsoft points instead of the 1200 Microsoft Point it was originally supposed to be set for. “The initial euphoria for the lower-than-promised price turned into a vicious backlash against the game when Microsoft jacked up the price just eight hours later without any sort of explanation,” said Scott Pelland about the game’s initial launch onto the Xbox LIVE Arcade.

Of course, the only one to suffer was Tozai Games, the game's developer. “This is our chance to overcome that backlash and re-launch what has been regarded by the vast majority of reviewers as a very good game,” said Scott Pelland about the XBLA Deal of the Week promotion. “The game has possibly more content than any other XBLA title.”

And it’s true. I have had the chance to play this game with great enthusiasm and vigour. The amount of levels are just astonishing. And the fact that you can build your own levels and share them with your friends over Xbox LIVE® just adds an enormous amount of physical content to the game without making players pay for extra downloadable content. You can literally host Xbox LIVE matches with your cunning creations or even upload and download the coolest custom levels from the Lode Runner community!

The classic action game that originally debut in 1983 was one of the first games to include a level editor, a feature that allows players to create their own levels for the game. This feature bolstered the game's popularity, and it is still a big feature of the games re-incarnation on the Xbox LIVE Arcade in new 3-D graphics with 220 new levels and even more surprises! Confront crazed enemies in fresh sets of single-player levels and fun-filled co-op challenges, or lean back and master increasingly complex puzzles. Battle it out with endlessly spawning enemies in a feverish new mode, or challenge up to three friends in a cunning game of high speed tag, where the first to die are the first to avenge … as enemies! Create custom levels and host matches over Xbox LIVE®. Lode Runner is worth its weight in… ahem, gold!

To help bring the Xbox LIVE Arcade and Lode Runner communities together, Tozai Games is organizing new events to give you a chance to connect with other fans. Coming up on Friday, September 18th at 5pm PDT, Tozai Games and Xbox LIVE are sponsoring the second official Lode Runner Game with the Dev event. You can find out more information about this coming up soon on Xbox.com and on the Xbox LIVE Dashboard Events tab, or you can visit Tozai Games

Some ferromagnetic materials can be magnetised by a magnetic field but do not tend to remain magnetised when the field is removed; these are termed soft. Permanent magnets are made from magnetically hard ferromagnetic materials that stay magnetized. permanentmagnets.net&magnetic-strip.com&solarwaterheaters.cc
